🌈 I'm right again! Learn Why TikTok is the New King of the Content Business. 🌈

Sometimes I feel like my video creator journey is just getting started; yet, I'm a guy who has been creating videos for more than a few decades.

Christy Strauch (quoted above) has been hearing me rant about this or that video innovation for a long time. Like most of you, most recently, it's been all about TikTok, "the marketing opportunity of the decade."

That's why she graciously forwarded the blog post called "TikTok Boom," by Scott Galloway (aka Prof G), NYU Stern School of Business professor, author, & podcaster (among his multiple offerings, I recommend Pivot, his pod collab with NYT's Kara Swisher).

In case you've been sleeping under a stone or are one of the many "TikTok Resisters" who I seem to encounter on an almost daily basis, here's one more chance to play catch up.

For example, did you know that TikTok's parent company, ByteDance, now has double the revenue of the streaming monster, Netflix? Or that TikTok had more than twice Netflix's number of minutes of video watched in 2021?

What's more, in my opinion, is that neither of those impressive statistics are nearly as important as what Galloway calls "signal liquidity" (TikTok acquires significantly more user data than any other streaming media or social media platform because of the high-frequency number of decisions each user makes each and every minute they are using the app) and "talent liquidity" (Netflix spends $17 Billion on producers, actors, and directors, etc. while TikTok spends next to nothing, relatively speaking, because we all make content for them for free. And it's fun!)
