Something shifted in my work these past few weeks, and I want to tell you about it because it's helping me do a higher quality of work at the same cost.
Two platforms I use every day each took a real leap. Kit, my email platform, rolled out Subscriber Signals, which shows me who's actually engaging, where real readers come from, and what they respond to. And Claude Cowork now connects directly to Kit, so the analysis, the drafting, the list care, and the strategy all happen in one working conversation!
Believe me, this is amazing, and I'm excited about what these changes make possible.
Innovations — what's new
Here's a taste of what I've done with my own list just this week. Working inside Claude Cowork, I analyzed months of subscriber data and learned exactly which stories my readers click on. I found and cleaned out hundreds of fake bot signups that were quietly diluting my reach. And, I mapped where my genuine subscribers actually come from.
My role in all of it is directing and architecting. I use Cowork to make sure my voice, and all client voices, stay authentic and consistent. I direct so the brand is on target. I architect so the systems work efficiently. Each judgment call along the way is informed by 40+ years of creative direction experience. The speed comes from the tools.
And the creative direction doesn't stop at words. AI image generation has reached entirely new levels too, which means the visuals that carry a brand, from banner art to campaign imagery, can now be art-directed with the same care and the same efficiency.
Put it together and this is what I keep coming back to: a whole new quality of service, at the same cost. Not cheaper slop. Better craft, same investment.
Connections — the bigger idea
What all of this innovation is really about is relationship building. Email that sounds like you, shows up reliably, and speaks to what your readers actually care about.
That's the kind of authenticity and consistent communication that builds trust, and trust builds relationships.
