If your website is the thing you keep meaning to fix, this one's for you. Most experts I know put it off for one of two reasons. A traditional build takes months and costs serious money. A DIY site builder eats your evenings, and you end up with something that looks like a template. There's now a third option. I just finished one, and I want to show you how it came together. Meet Henry Novak. Henry is a former federal prosecutor who turned those skills toward investigating how to live a fulfilling life. He writes about the contemplative traditions, and he has a memoir on the way. His new site needed to hold his writing, his approach, and the book. And it needed a visual design vibe that felt like him. How I designed it using an AI image model. First, I used GPT Image 2, OpenAI's image model, to create a design system: the colors, the type, the visual language. I then gave this visually intelligent AI a rough map of the pages, the main buttons, and a handful of visual references. It turned that system and site architecture into full page layouts remarkably well. The board was the starting point. The name and logo changed once Henry and I saw it. Then, I used another AI platform, Lovable, to turn those pictures into a working website and tweaked it from there. Lovable builds real, working sites from descriptions and images. It also hosts them. It's what I used to build Life By Decade as well. Here's the part most people miss. These new AI tools are available to anyone. The results aren't. Two things make the difference. The first is knowing where you're going: the creative direction and the judgment about what this particular site should feel like. The second is knowing the AI tools: what they can do, what they can't, and how to use them. The most common mistake I see is expecting the tool to supply the direction at the push of a button. It will build anything you describe. It cannot want anything. Give it no direction, and you get a site that looks like everyone else's. That's no good! π Spoiler alert: that missing piece is what I'm offering. I engineered this workflow and served as the project's architect and conductor. I orchestrated the design and built the site.
So here's the offer. A done-for-you website, designed and built in a couple of weeks, for a fraction of what a traditional website usually costs. Curious what yours would take? We'll figure that out together on a call. If your website has been sitting on your list for too long, I'd love to talk. Book a time here: cal.com/jon-lelandβ And if you're not quite ready, hit reply and let's talk about next steps anyway. I'd love to see if there's a way I might be able to help you get things moving. β Jon |
