AI Creativity Chronicles
Because it's never too late
to play with the future.

Most people using AI for business marketing are just using ChatGPT or Claude as chat collaborators. That makes sense. It's where we all started.

But here's what most people don't know yet: A chatbot's memories get to know you, but don't know your business. And, more importantly, they don't know your audience. They don't know your subscribers or to whom they are connected.

You feed it the context and get a draft back. That's a drafting tool. A good one. But it's not a system.

There's a different category of AI capability that most small business owners haven't experienced yet, and it's the difference between a tool you talk to and a system that gives you a whole new kind of marketing superpower.

When AI connects to your tools, everything changes

There's an AI technology called MCP — Model Context Protocol — that lets AI connect directly to the tools and platforms you already use. Plain-language version: Instead of copying and pasting between a chat window and your tools, the AI operates inside those tools. Reading your data. Building things. Researching and working on your behalf.

When AI understands your brand and how you talk to your customers, you get consistency at scale. The right message to the right person at the right time, in your own voice. That combination becomes infrastructure, a better way to get things done.

Kit is building toward this future

Kit — my favorite email marketing platform and the platform this newsletter runs on — has been moving in a direction I find worth experiencing.

In a big announcement event today, they revealed a new Subscriber Signals feature that gives you real visibility into exactly who your audience is as well as more detailed information about how they are engaging. These are not just behavioral patterns; they are, for example, indicators of each subscriber's influence. That means you can personally follow up with the individuals who are most valuable to you and your goals.

You can extend the networking power hidden in your email list.

Kit also announced a new landing page designer and builder that is also moving toward MCP integration. This means that soon you will be able to build and iterate landing pages with AI-optimized assistance that's fast and on-brand.

Put MCP, voice consistency, Subscriber Signals, and smarter landing pages together, and you're looking at a marketing system that knows your business, knows your audience, and helps you connect better, in less time and with less money than stitching together a team of specialists to do it.

This is the direction I'm heading with clients right now, and it's working. I feel empowered, and I'm excited about the ability to serve you better.

Got questions about any of this? Just hit reply. I read every message.

And, no matter what, if you are working to grow a small business, please don't miss out on the power of these new kinds of AI-powered tools. They can throw your marketing efforts into a much higher gear.

Creatively yours,
